The Queen's Ascent

"The Queen's Ascent" - Whale Painting

Oil/mixed media on gallery-wrapped canvas, 24 x 36 inches.

From the quiet depths, the ocean's queen begins her ascent.  For a time, she has moved through the vast blue cathedral, keeper of its rhythms and mysteries.  Now the air and light of another world draw her upward - a distant brilliance breaking through the waters above. In answering that call, she carries with her the wisdom of the deep and the promise that even the oldest currents are drawn toward the light.
