Keeper of the Shore

This painting was created from a desire to capture the various luminous blues of a bright day at the Emerald Coast, and the always-present heron and sandpipers. Through oils layered over mixed media, the piece leans into atmosphere and emotion, allowing color, texture, and light to guide the experience.

My work is inspired by the connection between nature, restoration, and the spiritual. I’m drawn to creating luminous coastal scenes that balance expressive softness with thoughtful detail, giving each piece a sense of movement, depth, and quiet presence. More than simply depicting a place, this painting invites the viewer into a moment of pause — a space to breathe, reflect, and reconnect.
